My simple, non-toxic morning skincare routine
Put your best face forward
With most things in life, less is more. I donβt know about you, but I donβt have time for a long skincare and makeup routine most mornings. Whether Iβm coaching or running around, Iβve found the perfect combination of non-toxic skincare products that make my skin feel hydrated, protected, and still able to breathe throughout the day. Here are the products and the routine Iβm loving lately for a simple, non-toxic AM skincare routine!
Cleanse. I use The Daily Juice Cleanser from Good Clean Goop first thing in the morning to get rid of sweat and oils that have accumulated on my skin overnight
Vitamin C Serum. Vitamin C has so many benefits for your face including brightening your complexion, reducing hyperpigmentation, and hydrating your skin. The one I use from Summer Fridays smells like an orange and I feel like the scent wakes me up and it makes my skin feel energized and rehydrated after I cleanse.
Depuff. One of my morning skincare staples is the TSC Ice Roller. Especially when Iβm coaching early morning classes, the freezing cold roller wakes me up and de-puffs my face and eyes. I use it for just a minute or so while Iβm waiting for my coffee to brew and not only does it help limit inflammation, I feel like it helps seal in my serum and depuff my face from being dehydrated after sleeping.
Moisturize. After my serum has settled, I lock in the moisture with Summer Fridays cloud dew moisturizer which has a really nice lightweight, plumping feel. The texture almost feels like a gel, and Iβve found that itβs the perfect light bast for SPF or foundation.
SPF. If Iβm using foundation during the day, Iβll prep my skin with Summer Fridays mineral milk SPF which pairs really well with the other Summer Fridays skincare products and doesnβt have a greasy feel. If Iβm going sans foundation but still want a little coverage and sun protection, Iβll wear this caffeinated sunscreen with a little bit of concealer.
Conceal. Iβve been a fan of the Fitglow Beauty concealer for years. The clean concealer has a smooth, creamy texture and I love that the ingredients also act as a skin treatment which reduces fine lines and leaves skin feeling stronger. Just a little bit under the eyes goes a long way, and a tube usually lasts me 4-5 months.
Foundation. If Iβm wearing foundation during the day, Iβll opt for the pressed mineral powder by Jane Iredele. Even though this is a powder, it has a really pretty glow and doesnβt make your skin look matte. If I want more coverage for nighttime, Iβve been loving the RMS Beauty ReEvolve Natural Finish Foundation.
Brows. Iβm late to the party on this one, but Iβve been loving Anastasia Brow Freeze which is a clear gel that keeps my brows in place all day. The two-sided brush makes it easy to mimic the effects of a brow lamination.
Lashes. My favorite non-toxic mascara is Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara. Just a few swipes of this makes me look awake, especially for those early morning classes Iβm coaching.
Cheeks. I love finishing off my makeup with Ilia Multi Stick. You can use this versatile cream-based stick on your cheeks and lips for a natural pop of color.
Lips. I never leave the house without Summer Fridays lip butter balm. I have been using the vanilla beige lately for a subtle, sheer lip tint that keeps my lips feeling buttery soft. You can score $10 off your first Summer Fridays order using this link; I have been loving this clean skincare brand for the quality and price point of their products. They also have a great recycling program too β save your empties and receive a $25 gift card for every 5 used products you return!
This entire routine takes me maybe 7-8 minutes max, which makes it the ideal, no fuss morning skincare routine. What skincare products are in your morning routine lineup?! Let me know in the comments!
